“ Today, I had the pleasure of attending Jujube's exquisite 5 Course Dinner, a celebration of summer's freshest ingredients. The menu, expertly crafted by Jujube's Head Chef Nadia, was accompanied by perfectly paired wines, vermouths, and sake that elevated the dining experience to new heights. Chef Nadia's talent for pairing food and wine was truly impressive, and each dish left a lasting impression on my palate. The attention to detail and care that went into creating each course was evident, and I found myself transported to different parts of the world with every bite. Despite being her debut as Head Chef, Chef Nadia showcased a level of skill and creativity that rivaled many Michelin-starred restaurants. Her commitment to providing the ultimate food experience was apparent in every aspect of the meal. The seamless harmony between the food and wine, coupled with impeccable service, made for a dining experience that exceeded all expectations. Each dish left me craving more, and I could feel the passion and dedication that went into preparing every bite. In all my culinary adventures since moving to the Triangle from Washington DC, this has been the standout experience. Chef Nadia's talent and the overall excellence of the meal have set a new standard for fine dining in the area. I have no doubt that Chef Nadia will soon be recognized among the culinary greats, and I feel fortunate to have experienced her talent firsthand. ”
“ Wow! What a great dining experience! The menu had a lot to choose from, and our server, Davis, was super helpful with food/drink descriptions and recommendations. We loved the beef bulgogi and the crab/shrimp cakes, but the pork belly BBQ dumplings were the real standout (best I’ve ever had). We tried both sake flights and would definitely recommend them if you’re looking to sample a nice variety. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside it’s cozy with plenty of seating options. Great food, friendly service. We’ll definitely be back! ”
“ This place ticked all the marks for an awesome night. The food is top notch, with authentic flavors and unique themes. The wontons, rolls and drunken noodles were absolutely epic as were their flavorful and alcohol friendly cocktails. Service was spot on and never missed a beat. Probably what impressed me the most was the outstanding wine selection. What an epic meal experience in Chapel Hill ”
“ I attended the Summer Harvest wine dinner last night and it was incredible! Each dish was thoughtfully curated with an amazing wine pairing to match. It was a wonderful experience for a summer night. The dinner began with peach tree oysters with a cucumber mignonette. The next course was goat cheese and peach dumplings followed up with a cucumber soup as a palate cleanser. The main entree was phenomenal and hands down, the absolutely BEST Wagyu short rib I have ever had in my life. It was well marbleized and melt in your mouth tender. I am still dreaming about it! The sweet potato puree with the black tiger shrimp was heavenly! Lastly, the peach sponge cake was the perfect ending to an exceptional culinary experience. It was a delightful pleasure to enjoy the foods of Chef Nadia! The owner, Suzie, also welcomed each guest with a beautiful smile and open arms. Thank you, Chef Nadia for a great night! ”
“ Great restaurant tucked away in a small strip mall off the beaten path. Has both indoor and outdoor dining. The restaurant is small so making a reservation is a good idea. The cocktail menu had interesting Asian influenced variations of classic drinks as well as some signature drinks. The drinks had great presentation and flavor wise did not disappoint. It was odd however that the same drink when order multiple times or by different people was served in different glassware. There were a number of appetizers ( small plates) to choose from. We had the crispy cauliflower, the Vietnamese salad rolls, and the chicken and shiitake dumplings. The Vietnamese salad rolls were ok... the best part was the peanut sauce that came with them. The cauliflower was very good and reminded me of General Taos chicken. All the small plates had enough for the four of us to try and share. I’d recommend doing this so everyone in your group can try a little bit of everything. The large plates are entree size. I had the lemongrass hanger steak and while it was good, the other dishes that were ordered were better in terms of uniqueness and Asian influenced in flavor. The Jujube bolognese and the Beef Bulgogi were outstanding. Highly recommend. Both are noodle dishes. The Thai larb was also very good. Lighter, and refreshing. Reminded me of a large lettuce wrap with chopped chicken. The service was good. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. The chef/owner brought the food to our table. ”
“ Had a wonderful time here. I'm not sure what was more exceptional, the food or the service. Both were great and very accommodating. The dumplings, fried cauliflower and short rib wontons were all delicious. High recommend ”
“ We had our first visit to Jujube a few weeks ago. How could we have been missing out on this gem? The staff and management was very friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was cozy, but not too crowded. And the food was awesome! It was so good that we were back a week later just to have the beef bulgogi again. ”
“ As you step into the establishment you are instantly greeted and enveloped by the aromas wafting from the open kitchen! It gets your appetite juices flowing. The Bok Choi and mushrooms appetizer was fantastic to say the least! I have heard of secret sauce but first time I saw and tasted “ secret sauce”. The chef truly was a magician! The drunken noodles with shrimp was very tasty and portions are generous. Service was very friendly and our waitress/hostess was very helpful in choosing our dishes and was attentive till the end. The ambience is perfect for a romantic dinner or get together with friends. The place was packed and we were glad to make online reservations ahead of time. ”
